DNA Testing
Legal Paternity Testing
Court-admissible DNA testing completed with identity verification, required documentation, and chain-of-custody procedures. This option is appropriate when DNA results may be used for court, child support, custody, birth certificate matters, or other legal purposes.
Non-Legal Paternity Testing
Private DNA testing for personal knowledge when court-admissible results are not required. This testing helps determine whether an alleged father is the biological father of a child.
Non-Invasive Prenatal Paternity Testing (NIPP)
Prenatal paternity testing that can determine paternity during pregnancy using a maternal blood sample and a DNA sample from the alleged father. No invasive procedure is performed on the pregnancy.
Siblingship DNA Testing
DNA testing used to help determine whether two or more individuals are full siblings, half siblings, or biologically related through a shared parent.
Grandparentage DNA Testing
DNA testing used to evaluate whether an individual is biologically related to an alleged grandparent. This testing may be helpful when a biological parent is unavailable for testing.
Avuncular DNA Testing
DNA testing between a child and an alleged biological aunt or uncle to help determine whether a family relationship exists when a parent may be unavailable.
Missing-Parent Relationship Testing
When a biological parent is unavailable for testing, other close biological relatives may sometimes be tested to help establish a family relationship. The appropriate testing method depends on which relatives are available.
Immigration DNA Testing
DNA testing performed when biological relationship verification is requested as part of an immigration, citizenship, passport, or consular matter. Testing must follow the requirements of the requesting agency and laboratory.
Infidelity / Forensic DNA Testing
Specialized DNA and biological evidence testing for situations involving personal items, possible biological material, or DNA comparison. Testing options depend on the type and condition of the submitted specimen.
Alternative Specimen DNA Testing
DNA testing may be available using non-standard specimens such as hair with roots, fingernails or toenails, toothbrushes, clothing, and other personal items when standard cheek-swab collection is not possible. Specimen acceptance depends on laboratory requirements.
